The idea of creating a children's clothing brand came from a deeply personal and transformative time in my life: the experience of becoming a mother for the first time.
An Unexpected Journey, A New Path
Until the birth of my son, Bernardo (benny), my professional path was far from the world of fashion and creating clothes for little ones. I had spent years in consulting and banking, always working on high-stakes projects in fast-paced environments.
I never saw myself as a creative person, but everything changed with Bernardo’s arrival...
It was a time of great happiness but also of many doubts. I felt very anxious, constantly wondering if I would be good enough in this role.
When I started looking for clothes for him, I faced a challenge: it seemed like all baby clothes for boys were blue 🤯!
There was a lack of variety, originality, and a fresh touch that could match the joy of dressing my baby.
During this time, I felt I needed something to keep me mentally sane and bring a sense of purpose.
And what if that “something” were a piece of clothing made by me, with high-quality fabrics, safe for his skin?
Rediscovering Sewing and the Power of Creation
One day, as I looked at Bernardo’s clothes, I thought:
"maybe a romper wouldn’t be so hard to make"
I started watching tutorials on YouTube, and looking for fabrics.
Each small step brought me more confidence, and the creative process—something I thought wasn’t for me—turned into a growing passion.
There was something incredibly calming and special about creating something unique, crafted with love for my baby.
From the First Piece to Benny Baby
Benny was born from this desire to provide children's clothing of the highest quality, with a distinctive aesthetic and a touch of originality, especially for those who, like me, are looking for something a little different.
Today, every piece we create at Benny is made with safe materials and carries this story and purpose: to offer clothing designed to celebrate childhood, with care and attention in every detail.
